Central Arizona College | Student Union & Science Building

Location: Coolidge, Arizona

Completion: On track for 06/18

Size: 56,000 sf

The new Student Union on CAC’s Signal Peak Campus is conveniently located at the intersection of the academic, athletic, residential and administrative cores. The 28,600 sq ft building sits on the southern edge of the campus’ primary green space, highly exposed and easily accessible. Native plants, combined with salvaged trees and cacti, will accentuate the project’s shady surroundings, encouraging respite and recharge.

The new Science Building on CAC’s Signal Peak Campus is located just north of Pence Center, within the campus’ academic core. Given the site limitations, the 28,000 sq ft is configured as an efficient 2-story building with programmed spaces divided across both levels. Nine Teaching Labs, associated Prep Spaces, a STEM Classroom, and 19 Faculty Offices will live within the new Science building, as well as Student Lounge spaces on both levels, encouraging student and faculty interaction.
