    • Architekton + 360 Architecture are providing master planning services for GCU to develop plans to increase the capacity of the University from 1,400 to 5,000 students. The role includes the study of phased plans, utility requirements, building phasing, and implementation planning. Also programming and siting of four new buildings and laying out a plan for future improvements to pedestrian and vehicular circulation. New buildings presently in various phases of design include a 55,000 sf athletic field house/student recreation center, a 600-bed, four-story first phase residential life project which will add scale and vitality to the campus center, and a new two-story, 30,000 sf academic classroom and office building which will host the University’s performing arts and digital media programs, integrated with a teen center, providing mentorship opportunities to students. The cornerstone of the master plan is a 5,000-seat, two-level event center to accommodate basketball games, concerts, theatrical shows, and church services which will increase the campus’ visibility and attract local and national attention to the University.
