    • The Ross Farnsworth East Valley YMCA in Mesa forms the wellness & fitness center of the A.T. Still University campus and surrounding communities. It is located in East Mesa, South of US 60 between Higley and Power Road.

The YMCA consists of a two-story building with pedestrian access from east to west, linking the future hospital and Assisted Living and Student complexes on campus. The building contains 30,000 sf of YMCA programs, including fitness areas, aerobics, child watch, gymnasium, teen center, and accessory uses. The building is designed to allow a future phase, adding moderate expansions of the programs to the East side of the Gym.

The scale of the building allows the YMCA to relate to the existing 3-story School of Health Science Building, and the planned four-story residential complex. The project is composed of interlocking masonry planes framing transparent and opaque programmatic elements. A large curved sandstone clad wall arcs through the central space and is concentrically linked to the curved split face cmu wall of the existing central plant.
