Architekton is seeking an Interior Designer/Interior Architect to join our team. This position will work closely with the Principals, clients, and studio team to develop, coordinate, and lead various sized projects within the office. This position requires a strong background in facilitating large stakeholder groups and complex public processes. We aim to operate seamlessly between interior and exterior design strategies and team members. This position requires a passion for design above all else and a commitment to participate in a team-approach to each project pursuit. In addition, we value education and mentorship within our studio and encourage this role to take on these tasks as a part of their daily workload.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Participate in developing and delivering marketing strategies for both Interior and Architectural projects.

  • Participate in the architectural and interior design process and presentations and develop alternative solutions and presentation graphics used to communicate concepts to the client or for agency approval.

  • Assist in the streamlining of the architectural and interior design process from conceptual design through overall completion of projects.

  • Work with the design team through the construction documentation process, create three-dimensional building information modeling and two-dimensional construction documentation using various software

  • Check for code compliance, coordinate with consultants and contractors, develop construction details, coordinate the production of project specifications

  • Assist in the design control/construction administration phase of various projects, assist with contract administration responsibilities

  • Participate in professional organizations, and represent Architekton design values.

EDUCATION and registrations

  • Accredited Bachelor of Science in Interior Architecture or equivalent

  • LEED Accredited preferred
