Northwest fire district administration complex

Location: Marana, Arizona

Completion: 05/22

Size: 24,000 sf

The Northwest Fire District Administration Complex located in the Marana Town Center on Main Street consist of a 24,000 sf office building for Northwest Fire District. The administration building will serve as the headquarters for Northwest Fire District providing support for the residence of the Northwest Tucson metro area. This new facility will allow NWFD to centralize their operations in downtown Marana and provide an increasingly higher level of fire protection and life safety to a rapidly growing population. The administration building will oversee 11 strategically located fire stations situated across 151 miles that make up the Northwest Fire District including the adjacent Fire Station 36 that creates a campus approach to the administration complex. The 3-story building concept is inspired by the traditional fire stations through the use of brick, stucco, and metal panels. A dual entry allows for visitors to access the building from Main Street on the East and the public parking on the West. Both entries include a trellis that extends out from the building to provide a pedestrian scale approach to the building. Surrounding the building are brick screen walls and landscape areas with a public plaza that connects the campus together.
